What is the Sugar Plum Fairy Tea?... The Sugar Plum Fairy Tea is a magical afternoon for moms, daughters, granddaughters, aunts, and maybe even dads! It is the primary fundraiser for Abilene Ballet Theatre and helps provide scholarships for our dancers to attend summer intensive programs nationwide. This popular event always sells out. The Tea offers the audience a glimpse into The Nutcracker, as the main characters take the stage and give a preview performance. Children can also participate in a Nutcracker teach-back to experience dancing with the main characters. Afterward, the characters will mingle with the audience for autographs and photos. Nutcracker tickets will be available, and our boutique will be open with Nutcrackers, t-shirts, and other gifts. Don't miss this magical afternoon of treats!
